Because you can now customise the general's skill tree, you'll still be able to more than offset any negative traits.
Surprisingly, my other general who I left to rot in my capital did not get any negative traits at all. My general still got the eye for ladies trait even when I moved him around. I think the negative traits pop up randomly. Why don't they get a good trait ever? Like if you leave them in a troop producing province, why don't they get a martial trait, with some sort of bonus to their troops? Or if you leave them in a province with a temple they get some sort of pious trait (they might already get something like that, if anyone knows please say)Īnyway, it seems the only traits you can get are negative.
If you leave a general in a province capital with a ninja place, he gets 'eye for the ladies' (-1% campaign movement rate), or in a place with a market he gets another negative trait. I don't think there are any positive traits that your generals can gain. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.844 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
